British singer-songwriter Tom Odell has released the single “Don’t Let Me Go” and its corresponding music video.
The track asserts that there is “the sense, almost every week, that the world is ending in some capacity—which it is, for some people,” he said in a press release.
The single follows a string of six hit albums, dating back to the U.K. chart-topping 2013 LP, “Long Way Down.” Impressively, none of Odell’s albums have peaked below No. 7 on that album chart.
But Odell is not an artist who wants to be defined simply by mainstream commercial success.
“I never applied to the role of pop star, and I always felt like I was being perceived in the wrong way,” he said in the same press statement.
The BRIT Award-winning artist is supporting Billie Eilish on select dates of her current European tour. Shortly after that, he is set to hit the road with the Lumineers for their U.S. tour.
Odell also has more international concerts planned this fall.
It’s shaping up to be a busy 2025 for the West Sussex, England native, whose resume also includes an Ivor Novello Award and two songs that have reached the top 10 of the U.K. singles chart: “Another Love” and “Real Love.”
